Make a difference

I pray a special blessing for individuals who have a genuine and sincere desire to make a difference in the world.  So often we become consumed with our own lives that we forget to "love our neighbor as we love ourselves."  This commandment from God is not a hard one to incorporate in our lives.  It only requires that we surpress our wants long enough to lend ourselves (in whatever context needed) to someone who is in need.  I pray that even as we obediently yield ourselves, we don't become demanding or expectant of repayment, but remain mindful that God sees "what is done in secret," and He will reward us.

Within each of us lies the power to make a difference in someone else's life.  I admonish all of us to tap into it and utilize it to make a difference wherever we go.  We know that Jesus made a difference everywhere He went.  We can do that same and even more according to John 14:12, "Verily, verily I say unto you.  He that believes in me, the works that I do shall he do also and greater (works) than these shall he do, because I go to the Father."

Let's take this for all that it is and because we believe, love, and want to obey God.  Make a difference where you are.  Its in you to do so.

Scriptures to Meditate on

Hebrews 13:16 "But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased."

Luke 6:38 "Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”

Phillipians 2:4 "Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others."

Believe, Love, and Obey God
