Cupcakes or Mines?
This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it (Psalm118:24 NIV).
The decision (the act of or need for making up one's mind) has been made. No matter what happens, joy and gladness will answer the door to the events that occur today. Carefully examining, and determining whether or not events are good for spiritual entrance, Joy and Gladness will separate the helpful from the burdensome and cast off burdens to the Lord.
Exhibiting a willingness to pursue and obtain all that God has in store, casting off burdens is of utmost importance and so is giving care to what one pays attention to and carries around with them. Anything that hinders the reflection of Christ in one’s life is a first-class candidate for being cast off. Qualitative and quantitative at best, care should be demonstrated when determining what one allows to usurp time and energy. The very events designed to engage and develop self knowledge is valuable and should not be neglected by making wrong decisions.
The path that leads to an encounter with destiny and purpose is littered with cupcakes and mines; it will always take God given insight, direction and strategy to navigate it appropriately.
Consider the following verses from 2 Corinthians6:14-17
“……for what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? What does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people. Therefore come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you."
Mines are dangerous. The impacts of their devastating effects bring about great destruction emotionally and physically. Avoid them at all cost, don’t pay them any of your attention.
Cupcakes are a satisfying indulgence. The impact of eating them treats our soul to a heavenly experience with the Lord. Eat as many as you can, they represent the commands of the Lord.
Examine your travel pack for mines and cupcakes. Cast off the mines.

Father God, you are loved and exalted above every situation I face today. “Direct me in the path of your commands, for there I find delight, (Psalm 119:35).
