Tap&Step&Glide&Turn

Are you reading this? Wondering, if the words appearing on this page are making a difference…Not doubting, just interested. Agreeing to do more, say more, and share more as led, my heart is involved and wants to know, if my obedience is paying off. Is it possible that someone’s thinking might be changed by a blogger who loves God? Might someone want to do more, be more, and live more? Living…not according to the ways of the world but according to the eternal word of God. My heart wonders about you, yes you sitting on the other side of this screen.

I sit, and words began to surface and I type. After letting my fingers dance a rhythmic dance across the keyboard, I read the message to ensure that the words connect and generate convincing and life changing thoughts to reward you for using the energy necessary to capture the beat and intent of these words.

You know how it feels when we read verses of scripture and we are treated with a new God given revelation? He reveals a hidden truth that encourages a life response that brings greater liberation. It’s a beautiful moment filled with inspiration, love, and a desire to embrace Him more closely.

God’s words flowed from His heart and out of His mouth showcasing an eternal word dance. He invited us to join in the movement, “follow me.” At first, the dance seems unfamiliar because we have been moving to our own beat for so long. Being convinced, we yield and allow Him to lead. Taking His hand, we began to move and the more we study the steps, the less planned they seem, and the more intentional they become – eternity’s dance.

The dance floor of life, becomes easier to navigate because God fixes the way,
“every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be brought low; and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough ways shall be made smooth.”

How courteous of God to provide help during moments when we miss a step. Always willing to Help us to recover from falls and placing us safely back onto solid ground…He’s such a loving dance partner.

Choosing His dance over our own is so worth it. What we will find is that before this invitation, the music we danced to was so offbeat and would ultimate lead us to a place of imbalance, inelegance, and immobility.

Follow the beat of His music, all God to guide your footsteps.

Father God, help us to learn the moves to your dance. Amen.

Believe, Love & Obey God

  1. Tanika, I love this. The metaphor of dance is so beautiful. This is one post I'm printing off and putting in my journal. It's time for me to dance with Him, abandoning my offbeat music and mismatched choreography. Thank you.
