Bad thoughts, I Quit You.

Sometimes bad thoughts get to reside too long. Are we to relax and believe that bad thoughts, contrary to the Word of God, offer us greater benefits than the thoughts that God thinks towards us? Bad thoughts sit around on the couches of our mind like couch potatoes, watching the days of our lives through broken channels sponsored by a Lack of Communication and Networking with God. Bad thoughts snack on inconsistency flavored by indecisiveness. It then leaves more mess on the floor of the unhandled situation room. The longer we allow them to dwell there, the more controlling they try to become over our thought life, actions, and beliefs.

Thinkers must provide occupancy to thoughts that serve the greatest good to their heart, mind and soul houses.

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things.

Yes, decision making can be hard, but the key to doing so, is seeking wisdom from a reputable source - the All-knowing God.

Who is the man who fears the LORD? He will instruct him in the way he should choose (Psalm 25:12).

The very moment that the bad thought catches wind of you entertaining a good thought, the more attractive one that posits “bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,” it will rise up in the strength gained from your initial indecision and confront you head on. “You said that you were comfortable and wanted me here!” “That was until I learned that there was something more promising and beneficial available to me, I no longer want to go on dealing with your lack of productivity in my life, you just weigh me down, and I don’t feel empowered. I am so done with you. You are no longer welcomed to pollute my soul by putting your muddy feet on the tables of my heart or resting in the recesses of my mind’s couch. I….I….I QUIT YOU! Out now…”

Prayer
Father God we bless you. Teach us how to lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us. When we rid ourselves of these things, give us the strength to no longer entertain them. In Jesus’ name, Amen
