Credit: Free photos from acobox.comHave you ever received an assignment to go somewhere or do something and you didn't really want to do it? If so, this is for you.
There will be tasks to complete and places assigned for you to go and your initial thought may be to ask, "why me?" But I believe that in some way God will meet us in the midst of carrying out these responsibilities. You see, someone may have shoved that assignment on your desk or mandated that you go to that training to irritate you BUT God is going to do something just for you while you are working on it or in attendance.
Look for Him to move and meet you wherever you are. I know I will be.
When we are in right position, mind, body & soul - we can see God at work and be blessed by what we see.
I love how the Word of God encourages us in Colossians 3:23 "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men,"
Be encouraged today! Take advantage of the opportunities before you, they are placed there for a reason.
Prayer
Father God we bless you and we thank you for the unrequested tasks that are before us. As we complete them, let us see you. Your word says that "You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you," so we thank you for keeping us in perfect peace as we keep our minds set on you as we complete these tasks before us. Amen.

ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this. I was praying yesterday and asking God to show me why I'm at this place in my job. Doing work I have no desire to do, yet it keeps coming. However, understanding that He is probably either working something out of me or working something out on my behalf. Either way I'm trying to maintain a good attitude about it all.

ReplyDeleteI want to encourage you to be encouraged. It is my belief that after you have done all that God needs for you to do, release will come. These are the scriptures I want to share with you. Ecclesiastes 3:1;Proverbs 3:5; Galatians 6:9;James1:3-4 and Proverbs 25:2. Further if you haven't already, ask God to reveal to you your purpose for being where you are currently. Actively seek after Him. My experience has been that when I am doing less desireable tasks, He speaks very clearly to me. That is how this post was generated, smile. God loves you and has purpose for every aspect of your life, all things will work together for your good. Hugs!
