Speak without speaking

I was having a conversation with someone about motivating others and they began to tell me about another person they knew who had a great personality and was very motivational. They then told me that at one time, as a person of authority over this individual, they had been instructed to not allow this person (a believer) “to convert others.”
Immediately, I heard these words, “speak without speaking.”
How and why would someone assign another person to prevent someone from converting others?
Is it a bad thing to want to share the Gospel with others so that they come into the knowledge of Christ and/or receive salvation?
Pondering….who would assign someone to prevent someone else from doing what God has instructed them to do?
Mark 16:15 He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.
As innocent as the conversation appeared to be, I could not help but capture the spiritual lesson/revelation therein. This is just how the enemy of our soul operates; he assigns someone to try to hinder us from carrying out the sharing of the Word of God. God’s plans will prevail always, yet we must not be ignorant to the devices of the enemy. He will use any opportunity that he can to stop us from doing what we are supposed to do, BUT, let me tell you what I now know to be true. There are many ways to share God with others. How many times have we seen signs that read “walk your talk,” or “don’t talk about it, be about it?” We don’t always have to talk or hold up signs. We can LIVE a life that expresses the love, mercy, grace, promises, sanctity, sovereignty, beauty, holiness and goodness of God, without sharing a word from our mouth, we can SPEAK WITHOUT SPEAKING. We can “Let (y)our light so shine before men, that they may see (y)our good works, and glorify (y)our Father which is in heaven (Matthew 5:16).
Think about a natural light…it is bright, warm, and captivating, it doesn’t speak words but it’s something about its presence that changes the atmosphere, its drawing and makes a difference in the life of the ones who are around it. We, carrying the spirit of God, who is the light of the world, become a light because of this. We can change a life by being a light and living a life that captures the attention of the observer. This in and of itself SPEAKS volumes.
*I am not suggesting that you cannot or should not share verbally, but understand there is more than one way to transform people.
Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is God’s power for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
Prayer
Father God, use us however you chose. Help us to be mindful that there is more than one way to bring you glory. May we be always, cognizant, obedient, discerning and ready to be used in the ways that YOU desire to use us.
Believe, Love & Obey God
