RUN!!!!
I don’t run for exercise, I have a desire to do it, but I think about how I may look or how tired I may become. I have ran away from dogs though!
Today, I decided to change my mind about this whole running thing. I saw a vision of me running after Jesus. I was running so fast that I came out of my shoes, my pant, my shirt, the style of my hair, my lip gloss and the more I ran…the faster I ran, and then it happened! I ran out of myself, I ran out of my flesh and all of its desires, and I began to soar, and as I soared, I found that I became more spirit led.
Living life is like running, it’s about getting past what we consider our deficiencies and shortcomings and pressing past the flesh and man’s wisdom into the truth of what God has said about us. When we run after God our eyes are opened and obstacles are utterly destroyed. When we run for God, we never tire because we come to know and understand that in Him is the fullness of our joy, we come to believe that we are fearfully and wonderfully made, that we can do all things through Christ who gives us strength, that we are above and not beneath, that we are lenders and not borrowers, that we are to always think on whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable, that as we draw closer to Him, He will draw closer to us and together, WE RUN and WE keep RUNNING, WE Keep pressing forward in Him until His goodness and mercy follow us everywhere WE go, and before WE know it, WE are surrounded by His love. It’s worth running for.
On your mark, get set, GO!

So true. I don't like to run or excercise but the more I get in a closer relationship with God his pulling me to become more "fit" in him. This means I have to become physically fit, spiritually fit, mentally fit, and emotionally fit. So thank you for these encouraging words to run after God and all that he has for us. It is not an easy training ground but you have to stay the course.
