Fill in the gap...

Since my last blog post, my life has changed.

There have been many challenges, departures, separations, examinations of my purpose, breakdowns, breakthroughs, blessings, thoughts, shifts and elevations.  In all of this, you can only imagine the myriad of emotions that I went through.  I do not glorify any of the emotions, however, I do bless God for the strength, wisdom and knowledge gained from my experiences.

Our ability to adjust to the vicissitudes of life can not be known until we actually determine within ourselves to face them.  As a result, we learn how to fill in the gaps that are actually unfilled spaces that lead to our next destination.  When we lack information or lessons, gaps appear and they serve to challenge our efforts and potential to grow.  The have the great potential to halt our progress.  It is difficult to go somewhere, when you have no idea as to how to get there, this is a gap in planning.  When we can't see clearly or lack focus, there is a gap in sight.  If we are in need and unsure of where to turn, this is a gap in direction.  When we have no guidance or leadership, there is a gap in our ability to control ourselves and situations. Gaps can be detrimental to our progress, therefore, when we recognize a gap, we need to move with expediency to FILL IT.

What are you called to do in this season? If you are unable to answer this question in the span of five seconds, perhaps you are overdue for a life review.  Consider and pray about your life's purpose because there is more for you than where you are right now.  You do not want to come to the end of the road of your current situation and find that you are in unchartered territory and you have no compass, no map, no foresight or no one around you, like Siri to answer your query.  Why? Because you will turn around and head towards the direction from which you came, abandoning the opportunity to progress forward or to pioneer and create a pathway for others.  We can not be afraid when we arrive at the point of, I do not know what to do next.

We must equip ourselves by learning how to FILL THE GAP:
  1. Knowing what we are called to do.
  2. Developing a plan of action.
  3. Gathering the tools that we need for our journey - even if our journey is one that we are taking alone.
  4. Be ready to build and grow where you are sent.
  5. BE BOLD and BRILLIANT as you work to fill in the gap.

We are called to experience many circumstances in life and all of them are not sprinkled with sugar, some of them will stink and attempt to run you away, but you must be forward facing and never leave the space of the gap unfulfilled or filled. This may appear at first to be a meaningless task, but your work, will help others to travel along the same path and have less risk of falling into the gap that was once there. Because of your obedience, many will be able to travel to their destinations with less complications. So, prepare the way.

The world consist of architects, engineers, strategist, visionaries, miners, creatives and agents of change.  Why do I mention this? Because these individuals function through a variety of best practices that you can employ to get your life's assignments completed.  There is always an answer somewhere, and even if you find yourself having to JUMP over and beyond the gap of your comfort zone to obtain the answer or knowledge, you should position yourself to do so.

Be encouraged by these scriptures:

Psalm 90:12
1 Corinthians 12:31
3 John 1:2

Be encouraged!
