FAITHPRENUERS ON DISPLAY: Gina Ferrare
(As you read) I pray that your partnership with us in the faith may be effective in deepening your understanding of every good thing we share for the sake of Christ. (Philemon 1:6, NIV)
Tell us your name and what God-given superpower you operate within the earth.
“Gina Ferrare.
I believe that the Lord has given me the gift of vulnerability and the
willingness to share my testimony from a place of brokenness to healing and
wholeness. I also do my best to lead with understanding and encouragement,
always willing to listen and pray for other’s needs.”
How does your faith collide with being an entrepreneur?
“It takes
faith and obedience to step out in strength and confidence, knowing that what
the Lord has called me to do, he will equip me to do. I can do all things
through Christ who strengthens me.”
How do you rise when you experience
challenges to progress?
"I do my best to stay with what I "know", and not allow my feelings or
emotions to override the truth, regardless of what's going on. Life is hard and
there are always going to be challenges. But, God promises to meet my needs, to
protect and guide my steps as long as I am abiding in him. Remembering that all
things work together for the good for those who love and serve the Lord. Stay
strong, do the right things, honor God with my thoughts, words and actions.
Living each day allowing the Lord to love me and love someone through me, those
are my goals!"
Do you have a Coach or Mentor? If so, how
has this helped you to become who you are today?
"My Mom has been a huge mentor in my life, along with many Bible teachers (Lisa
Harper, Priscilla Shirer, Greg Laurie and Greg Denham are a few favorites). My
Mom has shown me with her life, how to live with grace and obedience. She and
my Dad both lead our family with deep love and loyalty to God and to one
another. I've always thought... if I can be half the woman of God, mom, sister,
daughter and friend that she is, I will have done a good job. When you have a
Mom that is also a friend, prayer warrior and partner in crime & adventure
lol, you are a lucky lady. I have also been blessed to have an amazing older
sister, that has been my faithful prayer partner. She is gifted at listening,
never judging, always encouraging and being supportive. The women in my life
that I look up to have helped guide me with their character, strength and
faith. I am who I am and where I am because of the unconditional love of God
and family."
What life advice would you like to share
with our readers?
"Well that's a big question and an important one. I am 64 years old. I have lived
life on both my terms and on God's. I can tell you this, living on God's terms
and IN His will is the only way to live without regret. While living on my
terms, I drove my life into the ditch more than once. I hurt myself and
other's. I broke every commandment and in return became a wounded broken woman.
The beauty of my story is that when I fully committed my life to Jesus, He took
my mess and turned it into a mosaic of His handiwork. He is the lifter of my
head, the holder of my heart and healer of my soul. My best advice would be to
seek the Lord with all your heart. Don't just listen to his word, be obedient,
step out when he calls. Get to know the voice of the Holy Spirit and even when
he whispers...LISTEN! Surround yourself with people that will pour into you and
hold you accountable. Enjoy the good times, soak them up like a sponge, because
challenges are going to come. Take care of yourself, give more than you take,
listen more than you speak and stay in the moment as much as possible. Don't
allow the stresses of yesterday or the concerns about tomorrow rob you of the
JOY of today. Live each day as though it might be your last, with as few
regrets as possible and ready to stand before your Creator."
Gina, thank you for sharing your faith with us. Your words speak life and demonstrates the Father's love towards us in a magnificent way. ~Tanika
