A moment of silence
In the midst of the busyness of life there are many sounds that rouse a response from us. There are the sounds of deadlines, requests, commitments, obligations, needs and wants pulling us and our attention in so many directions. We’re constantly shifting here and there to do this and that. So much noise…
A moment of silence is usually conducted for 1 minute to remember someone who has passed. Wonder what would happen if we performed this courtesy for the living God?
“Draw nigh to God and He will draw nigh to God,” (James 4:8a).
What would God say if we honored Him with one minute of our time right now?
Let’s take a Moment of Silence to hear what the Father is saying. How will we know, unless we still ourselves? Unless we shut out the noise and quiet our hearts before Him?
“Be still, and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10).
Let’s take a moment of silence to listen, reflect, seek and meditate.
What a wonderful and beautiful moment it will be to share with the Holy One.
Prayer
Father God you are AWESOME in all of your ways, may we avail ourselves often so that we may experience the beauty of your holy presence. Because in your presence is fullness of joy. Amen
