Painted Red
By no means am I a great painter. But I have painted a room. I know enough to understand that when you paint anything whether it’s a chair, car or wall of a room the overall appearance and feel of that which is newly painted is transformed.
Painting a room
The process of painting requires patience.
You have to prepare the space.
Make sure there is air flow for ventilation; ventilation is the act of improving something. In this case one would rid a room of the scent of paint as it is drying because it can be a bit overwhelming which may lead one to stop in mid process and not finish the process – don’t want that to happen.
Paint the wall several times, and make sure all of the hard to reach places like corners, and those areas right, near the floor, you don’t want any sign of the old paint to show. Yeap, you gotta zoom in real close to make the finishing touché so the room will be great.
After painting a room, one usually desires that every piece of furniture and accessories compliment the wall or have the wall compliment the accessories (Sn: depends on how you want to look at it). ABSOLUTELY nothing should interfere with this important aspect of ensuring the peaceful flow of the newly painted room.
Only the right furniture and accessories should go into the newly painted room…
The room of my life has been Painted Red, a shade selected by the Master Painter. This red symbolizes atonement, grace, power, redemption, sacrifice, the cross, and most of all Jesus. The furniture and accessories have been predetermined by Him. Daily as I live in the room, I simply ask, “Does this item complement this shade of red?” Based on His response, I add or remove things, and as I look around, I must say that all is coming together.
So I have to be careful that I only compliment it with accessories suited for my life. I am being transformed more and more every day. I am learning how to make eternal choices every day. I love the room I am in.
I am looking and feeling better.
Father God,
Thank you for being the Master Painter of our lives. We want to look and feel better, paint us in that special shade of red. Amen.
