Break Every Chain
When God realized that the world needed deliverance He raised up a singer who would hear his words in her spirit and sing with the force of God’s authority from her mouth. These are not simple words, “break every chain.”
Many people have them and are unaware of what they look like but I want to share the characteristics with you because oftentimes, they can’t be seen because we cover them up so long that we think they are a part of us. They are bad habits and dependencies on things like alcohol and/or drugs to help us escape from the pains that spring forth from the realities of our life. They are repeated negative verbal expressions (cursing, lying, gossiping, and instigating) that project from our mouths that contaminate not only, our atmospheres, but also the spirit of the ones listening and agreeing with us. It’s the continual trusting of someone to meet an emotional or physical void and finding that they are really not equipped to fulfill it permanently – only God can do this and that is by trusting Him with our lives – why shouldn’t we? He created us. It’s going to the mall to find clothing to dress us so we can look pretty or handsome so others will compliment us so that we can feel we have some value but don’t you know that God made us fearfully and wonderfully? We do well to allow him to dress us from the inside out.
There is a healing in our soul that must take place so that we first can find out who we are rather than allow people to define us. Another chain is self-deception – this is when you try to convince yourself of something and then you find yourself making EVERY effort to believe it – this is draining and self defeating. There is a freedom that God wants us to experience AND sometimes we need a song to interrupt our lives like, “Break Every Chain.” This song will truly minister to your soul and bring deliverance (freedom from bondages).
Sometimes we put ourselves in bondages by continuously taking part insomething that is not really good for us – we have to be honest. It isn’t anyone’s business what it is. We have to at least be honest with ourselves and let God free us privately. When He does, you may or may not understand all that He delivers you from but know, in time you will. What does that look like? It looks like – when you expect to respond to things one way, you find that God has prepared your heart, mind and soul with a peace that surpasses all understanding, He shows you that love covers a multitude of sins, He shows you that He is your strong tower and that He is mighty in battle and that your freedom is worth battling the devil over. Not only these things but He presents to us a precious Armor to help us defeat the enemy when He comes knocking.
There is liberty to be experienced and it’s a liberty that we can rejoice in forever, it’s not temporary or emotionally draining. When God SHOWS you that He has freed you from something or someone DO NOT GO BACK, or let any part of yourlife read like proverbs 26: As a dog returns to his vomit, so a fool returns to his folly. Walk in your liberty.
