Pennies for change~~
Nothing against pennies, they are worth one cent. But of all the coins, I have often noticed the corrosion that takes place when exposed to atmospheric oxygen. Their beautiful copper tone becomes covered with a dark element and makes it appear far less wanting than other coins. I know I have walked over many, intentionally. They still have value - I know this. They assist in the finalizing of purchases, in certain quantities- you can trade it in for shinier coins and even paper money, and the piggy banks welcomes them.
How many pennies have not been picked up off the ground due to the visible and untrusting looking buildup?
In society some people are overlooked in this same way. They may have been exposed to something too long and from the outside- it looks like that person has no value. We have to look below the surface and understand that every person on this earth has a purpose. Avoiding judgement is wise. Whether our assistance is immediate or progressive, it can change someone for the better.
As a collective, we can make a profound impact! We have the ability to influence and being mindful to provide assistance when it's in our power to do so, will cause many to live again.
I remember counting pennies to get a case quarter for the video game, Pacman - to be exact. Those pennies afforded me a few minutes of fun recreation. Our experience with people, being willing to gather them, help them, impart into their lives, pick them up with kind words, help them to see their own value, is beneficial to them and can be rewarding to you.
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another. John 13:34-35
