Exasperated
I had to look up the meaning of this word.
Have you ever been exasperated? Based upon the definition, it isn't a good emotion to have. Read it for yourself.
Our time and energy is so important and there comes a time, when we realize just how important it is. I have heard people say, I am sick and tired of being sick and tired. Ever been there? I think that we are all in a place of maturity now, where we can end a situation before it becomes exasperating. Even the situations that we intentionally engaged in. Yes, we do that. There are emotional signs that signify whether or not something is adding to or diminishing the value of our life. Frustration, tiredness, happiness, excitement, anxiety, hopelessness are some of those signs. We want the situation to go one way, but it doesn't and we keep trying, with all of our energy, might and soul, to turn it the way we want it to go, WEARING OURSELVES OUT, only to find ourselves EXASPERATED. We want people to change and they don't and we get mad. We want doors to open that aren't meant and we get mad. We want this, we want that, waaaaaaaa waaaaaaaa! Stop it.
If you are in a situation, relationship, position or frame of mind where you are void of peace, you may be at the point of exasperation. I imagine that in the place of exasperation, there is a lack motivation, there is no reciprocity of your effort to live, love or laugh, and life is just not well with you. You are just holding on to what seems safe. You are just comfortable and stuck. You are just trying to blend in, much like the frog in the photo. If you look, he is holding on SO tightly to the plant that it is turning brown, maybe due to him cutting off its circulation. He too, is turning brown in certain places. Let go, while you still have life. The backdrop of your life may look dim, but if you peer a little longer, you will see that the sun is out. That means that the potential for life and growth to occur is great.
It is time for you to come out of that tiring, draining, irritating, frustrating place and LIVE your life.
No more sighing...no more crying. Reach for your peace and don't let it go, ever again. Take note of David's words in Psalm 4:8, "in peace I will both lie down and sleep; for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety."
Understand that your life has value and it is simply time for you to pray about your situation and make some decisions that will restore you to a place of peace, happiness, fulfillment and self actualization. I believe that God will catapult you to the place where he has intended for you to be.
Blessings,
PTM!
