7 months...

The number seven represents completion.  Today, I had to break the cycle of silence that I have allowed to reign here on my blog.  To my shock, I haven't been here since November...2018.
Have you become silent, too?
I have been on a hiatus.  Not by choice or chance but circumstance.  Life has been busy but, this has not prevented words from continuously dropping into my spirit.  The words continue to swirl. Much like the image that accompanies this post.  Like leaves that are being blown round and round by the wind.  They have a landing place, but as long as the wind continues to blow, they can not find their placement.  We must take a moment to be in the moment.  This is a mannerism that I was not taught but learned as of late.  On occasion I have conversations with friends and family and my spirit grabs what is essential to the place in life that I find myself.  I remembered two years ago, a friend shared, "you need to learn to be in the moment." What did this mean?  It meant, that life is always going to offer suggestions as to how to best employ your time, energy, affection, attention, and resources.  As such, one has to intentionally decide, when, where and how to indulge.
I have decided to be silent and let my words speak.  Life is precious.  It moves and it doesn't stop for you to catch your breath.  You have to decide when to do that, catch your breath and breathe.  Life is beautiful.  You have to decide when to stop to admire it.  Life is a blessing.  You have to take a moment to behold and enjoy the blessings.  Life is, as a wise man shared, not short, but something that we do the longest in this life.  You have to maximize and minimize in a manner that allows you to feel life.  I read a quote today and it said, "make room to live more." What does this require of you?  Stop and think about it. Everyone is running to or from something.  Everyone is immersed in something.  Everyone is desiring something. It is only when we become silent, that we understand, what is relevant, what is unique and what is specific to us.  We are persuaded and dissuaded.  We cry and we laugh.  We yield and we stop.  We fear and we are bold.  We have options and opportunities.  We relinquish and we gather.  It's a paradigm that we have to navigate in order to obtain, normalcy and peace.  Silence is an advocate for this process.  Not absolute silence but pockets of silence.
Here are my thoughts about silence:
1. It settles the chaotic soul. Yes, our soul is in chaos more often than we admit.
2. It opens the door for God to speak to our spirit.
3. It creates a pathway for one to receive life giving instructions.
4. It is powerful.
5. It introduces itself and allows truth to rise.
6. It welcomes peace.
7. It is necessary.
8. It is important for visionaries and influencers.
9. If you do not pursue it, you never understand the fruit of it.
10. It will forewarn you of what is coming, so that you can be prepared.

Believe God,
Tanika
